Hopes for 2010!

The Redding KAOs Raiders are asking for your support in the form of a donation to the team. We have attached a team sponsorship form for your consideration. All the help you can provide is much appreciated.

The Redding KAOs Raiders is a soccer team comprised of talented boys from the Redding area. These dedicated athletes travel throughout Northern California competing with the best athletes in the state.  The Raiders are part of the KAOs Soccer Club currently playing in the U-12 (Under 12) age group and are part of the Redding Youth Soccer League and the California Youth Soccer League.

Currently, annual team costs for a soccer season are estimated at $6,000. This accounts for tournament fees, practice field fees, referee fees, equipment, and uniforms.  The team expenses do not include travel costs for the players and their families, or cleats, and shin guards. Given these difficult economic times, a competitive soccer season can be a financial burden on many families. For this reason, fundraising is a critical part of ensuring Redding’s best soccer players are able to afford the opportunity to travel and compete with other teams throughout the North State.

In 2009 the Raiders ended their season with a record of 15 wins, 11 losses, and one tie; over the season, they scored 55 goals and allowed their opponents to score only 32 goals.

In 2010 the Raiders ended their season with a record of 24 wins, 10 losses, and 3 ties.  They have been competitive with every team they have played this season.  The Raiders scored 114 goals and allowed their opponents to score only 45 goals.
